LCD: Monitor { Liquid Crystal Display - provides visual information to the user. A monitor is made up of tiny little dots (See Pixels) and (Resolution).
GEEK, NERD, ROBOT, MACHINE: People who like PCs { As Bill Gates said "Be nice to them, because some day they'll probably be your boss. }
PIXELS: {The many tiny dots that make up a monitor. The more pixels or dots per square inch (see DPI) the high the resolution the better the visual quality }

RESOLUTION: The amount of pixels used to display an image. for instance some common monitor settings are 800X600 pixels, 1024X768 Pixels etc.

HOSTNAME:The name of your computer also referred to as computer name. Used when networking two PC's. If you want to know your hostname press 'ctrl-r' type in 'CMD' and press enter, on the black screen type echo '%computername%' enter.
SERVER: Used to serve up webpages, run databases, resolve domain, run print jobs, control domain, send your mail, names etc
HARDWARE: All things hard, for example printers, keyboards, box, dvd drive etc.
SOFTWARE:All things software or non tangibl, for example operating systems, applications, etc.
OCR: Optical Character Recognitio - Used for converting images of text into text that your word processor can understand. The value of this is you can easily edit the information.
SCANNER: Scans a page into your PC as an image.
