Smart Defrag

E-mail Print
Smart Defrag is specifically built for Windows XP and more specifically, people like me who forget or couldn't be bothered to Defrag there hard disk. The application once installed will wait until your CPU usage falls below 20% and automatically start defragging the hardisk. The program is surprisingly small and efficient, and unlike most defraggers you don't even know it's running. Vista in my opinion could learn a thing or two from Smart Defrag. The link to Smart Defrag is http://www.iobit.com/iobitsmartdefrag.html

How to pawn eBay

E-mail Print

The best way to find yourself a bargain on eBay is start with broad search terms. if you were after a Nokia 6210 Navigator Mobile Phone you start with the search term Nokia to ensure you get the maximum amount of listings including Nokia phone covers, Nokia head phones, Nokia you name it. Now the trick is to now exclude what your not looking for, to do this simply place a minus sign after the the search word Nokia and and type the keyword for the results you do not wish to see. ie. 'Nokia -cover -head' etc. By searching in this fashion you may stumble across one or two poorly listed items that the average may never see, hence no bidding competition. The common trap here is excluding a term that is common with all listing like excluding headphones etc 'Nokia -phone' would exclude just about every listing on eBay.

That's all good and proper i hear you say but why do i lose the last minute? ok the reason why you lost that last minute bid was because of a program called eBay Sniper. eBay Sniper does exactly what the name suggests, its an application for your pc that once enabled will bid on your behalf silently at the last 1 - 2 -3 seconds. Yes it's completely legal. Read more via googling http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&q=ebay+sniper

Google Chrome Worth a Look

E-mail Print

Google Chrome has hit our shores and is definitely a contender for browser of the year. Although Google Chrome is still in beta stage it is extremely fast. So fast that it makes a cheetah on cocaine look slow. It really is that fast. You have to give it to Google, you either love there products or hate them, and even if you hate them you still end up using them somewhere or other sooner or later. Chrome has an excellent simplistic look and feel to it. It's ergonomics comes from a principle of everything on one page. A simple but effective concept.

There are still a number of bugs, some in the way of how chrome handles flash, but all is forgiven when pages load a 150% faster, very impressive. The only negative will be the lack of imediate ad-dons, if Google corrects this problem and begs for forgiveness, i will be switching to chrome quikcer than a politicians application for funding.

8.5 / 10 - Well done Google!
